Fall has to be my very most favorite time of year… the colors, crisp fresh air, pumpkin pie and eggnog, and the thought of cuddling up with family around a warm fire…   This is just one image from a family session yesterday. I think it is the perfect image to describe all the wonderful feelings I have this time of year - and a perfect image to represent this wonderful family…full of fun, laughter, and unlimited love for each other!

What a wonderful experience it was to meet little Abigail! She is so incredibly sweet and beautiful! Great big blue eyes and a great big personality for one so young. While we were photographing, she was just content to lay there awake for most of the time, watching and occasionally making the cutest little faces. I was tempted to wrap her up and take her home after the session, but I’m sure mom and dad would miss her far too much. Can’t you see how much she is loved? They absolutely adore her!

I had an GREAT time with Brennan’s shoot! He was so fun to work with and pretty much up for anything. We did a little brainstorming and decided to incorporate some snowboarding, even though we have yet to see snow this year. Let’s just say these photos are a tribute to our expectations for some amazing powder this winter!

What a great time with the Wissenbach family! We wanted to do something a bit different, and as the boys put it - no church clothes! So, it was an evening of picnics, football, and soccer. I loved getting a chance to catch them in action…including when they ganged up and tackled Dad!  (Don’t tell, but I think it was instigated by Mom) Thanks Wissenbachs for all the fun!

Her green eyes fascinate me…so green with little speckles of dark brown, like a couple of stars twinkling beneath deep green water… Such a sweet heart too. Sometimes I just can’t believe how lucky I am to get the opportunity to meet and spend time with such beautiful souls. Thank you Nitza for the beautiful afternoon…it was so much fun!

Elaina’s voice is soft as she greets me across the parking lot. I’m struck by her amazing outfit and perfect curls. We take her photo session to a little hill in the park, golden sunlight streaming through the leaves. She laughs a little and her eyes sparkle. What a beautiful soul shines through those eyes! My photo sessions always seem to move so fast, but it’s those little moments that are so rewarding and allow me to see a little more of the beautiful and unique person inside.

There really is no limit to the fun you can have in Boise in the summer…maybe you were thinking about the biking, floating the river, or hiking in the foothills…but that’s not what I was thinking! How about photographing the cutest 1 year old ever in a bubble bath? How about playing with your rubber ducky in a tub of suds followed by a lounge by the “pool side” in your skivvies? See there’s millions of summer activities that you haven’t tried yet!

What a beautiful new family! As I was editing the session, I just kept coming across more and more images that absolutely had to be in the final show. Yes, this little guy was sweet and cute, but the love that I was seeing between mom, dad, and son was just too wonderful for words! I love being a small part of a new family’s journey of love together.

What a cute little button to photograph… so many times I just had to laugh out loud at the little looks we were all getting. Barely a week old, I can already tell he’s sure to have a big bundle of personality!
