Why oh why do I always end up wanting to bring these cute kiddos home with me? Maybe it’s because they ask their mom when they can see their “Missy-friend” again. Or maybe it’s because they “miss me already” as they drive away. In either case – the feeling is mutual :-) I love this job, I love seeing all the smiles, hearing the giggles, seeing the curiosity!

There really is no limit to the fun you can have in Boise in the summer…maybe you were thinking about the biking, floating the river, or hiking in the foothills…but that’s not what I was thinking! How about photographing the cutest 1 year old ever in a bubble bath? How about playing with your rubber ducky in a tub of suds followed by a lounge by the “pool side” in your skivvies? See there’s millions of summer activities that you haven’t tried yet!

I had so much fun photographing this beautiful family. It made me think of the Mother Goose rhyme… Girls are made of sugar, spice & everything nice. Boys are made of snakes, snails & puppy dog tails. Based on the way they were having fun with the geese in the park, I’d suppose a few puppy dog tails would be a welcome addition to this family!
They call him blueberry… with plump little cheeks, fresh red lips, and eyes as blue as juiciest blueberry…you can see why. It was a beautiful afternoon with little blueberry and his mom and dad. The temperature was perfect, the sky was blue, the flowers were blooming, and just a bit of a breeze. It was almost too perfect at times to believe…
Amy and Nate, it was such a pleasure to spend the afternoon with your family. I found myself thinking that I’d enjoy being your friend someday and getting to know you better. I admire the love you have for each other and your son – it radiates from you with every action and every look. I hope that these images will be a small part of cherishing this wonderful time in your lives.
Talk about a photographer’s dream shoot!!! First, take a look at the smiles in the pictures below. Then multiply that by at least 10. That will give you an idea of what I looked like behind the camera, smiling my face off! I was having so much fun…but then so was he… I think both of us could have stayed playing in mountains of bubbles all day long! This was reportedly a “first” bubble bath. We both shed a tear when it was time to call it quits and the last of the bubbles swirled down the drain… Oh, and did I mention the amazing eyelashes? What I wouldn’t give for a pair of those!
Wow! This little guy was such a ball of energy, and oh so amazingly adorable! I just wanted to pack him up and take him home with me! He had me chasing him up and down the hill, rolling in the grass, and thoroughly exhausted by the time our shoot was over… (note to self – get in better shape or don’t choose a hilly park for the next photo shoot!)
