So I’m all cuddled up in front of a fire on a very rainy Sunday afternoon… It’s hard to believe that less than 24 hours ago I was out on a oddly warm November afternoon, laying on my stomach in a pile full of leaves as I turned my lens on a rainbow of glowing colors. I think that fall is my favorite season. In Boise, this season hangs on, as though it’s reluctant to say goodbye. But, I believe it’s time to say goodbye. The rain is coming, and then the frost, and soon, we’ll have a skiff of white to ring in the holidays. I’m hoping that the glow of yesterday will keep me warm through the winter months.

When Nicole and Joe told me they wanted to take the chopper for a ride during their engagement session, I was so excited and just knew we’d need to make a visit to Freak Alley. There’s nothing as fun as adding a prop to a session that gives a little more individuality and spice to a shoot. And these two totally rocked the session. Joe had some GREAT ideas for poses and kept Nicole laughing the whole time! Nicole, well, she’s just so beautiful, what more can I say?

There was a quiet excitement in the air. Their day had finally arrived. It was the first day of the rest of their life together. Everyone that loved them most would be there to celebrate, to laugh, to embrace. They waited in anticipation for what their wedding day would bring.

Krissy whispered, “I’m not even nervous, I feel so calm!” That is what marrying the man who is meant for you will do. Even though his steady arms were not yet wrapped around her, the knowledge of his steady love supported her through the morning.

Chris told me about when he first knew he was in love with Krissy. “We were going to a party and Krissy was driving and I remember looking over at her and seeing her smile, and laugh and that feeling just hit me. Butterflies in the stomach and getting really hot all of a sudden! I knew..I just felt something that I’ve never felt for anyone else.”

Chris and Krissy are perfect for each other. They have the kind of love that burns long and steady, that puts the other person first, and cherishes that person for the unique and beautiful individual that they are.

Boise Idaho Wedding Photography.

Why oh why do I always end up wanting to bring these cute kiddos home with me? Maybe it’s because they ask their mom when they can see their “Missy-friend” again. Or maybe it’s because they “miss me already” as they drive away. In either case – the feeling is mutual :-) I love this job, I love seeing all the smiles, hearing the giggles, seeing the curiosity!

This was one of those days that make me pinch myself and ask if this is really my job! This little cutie was so full of smiles, laughs, and coos.
